OkeBursary: Over 1000 applicants jostle for 300 Ifelodun LCDA tertiary students bursary

The second tenure-seeking Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA, Mayor Olu Femi Akanbi Okeowo, has continued the empowerment of his constituents despite successfully securing the second term ticket of his party, the All Progressives Congress party.

At the time of writing this report, over 1,000 students are reported to have applied for the 2025 Ifelodun LCDA Tertiary Students Bursary Award, indicating an overwhelming interest in the financial support initiative.

The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA, Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, has earmarked 30 million naira for disbursement to 300 deserving students currently enrolled in various tertiary institutions across the country.

All applicants are hereby informed that they must appear in person for the screening exercise scheduled for this Friday. Further instructions, including screening venues and time slots, will be communicated in due course.

The final selection of qualified beneficiaries will take place on Saturday, following the successful completion of the screening process, according to a release by the Chief Press Secretary of the Council Mayor.

The Council appreciates the interest shown by students and urges all applicants to remain calm, prepare their required documents, and await further communication.

In the same vein, the accounts of 100 beneficiaries under the Okemoney Scheme were credited with ₦50,000 each, as part of the monthly financial support program initiated by the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA, Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo.

Now in its third year, the Okemoney Scheme has consistently provided financial assistance to petty traders across the Local Council Development Area, empowering them to strengthen and expand their small-scale businesses.

The Okemoney Scheme has become a cornerstone of the Mayor’s pro-poor policy direction, directly impacting hundreds of households and promoting inclusive growth within Ifelodun LCDA.
