The Seamen Branch of the Maritime Workers Union has celebrated one of their own, Comrade Sarah Goodnews Olaitan, on her birthday.
Her colleagues described Sarah as a queenly, passionate Unionist and a Special Female ITF representative.
They further described her as” The iron lady in our midst, the only woman that fuels the engine of this Ship”.
There was an outpouring of congratulatory messages and words of encouragement from her colleagues
Some of the messages read thus: “Today, we celebrate a woman of valour, a trailblazer, a voice for the voiceless, and a pillar of strength in every space she steps into.”
“You are not just a comrade. You are a movement on your own. From the frontlines to the strategy tables, your energy shakes the ground, and your passion commands respect”.
The torrents of messages were rounded off by that of Comrade Alao, the organising secretary of Comrade Sarah’s Seamen District. He wrote, “May your new year be filled with greater platforms to shine.
“More power to shake systems, peace that surpasses understanding, and joy that overflows, no matter the battle, you are seen. You are celebrated. You are deeply respected
“Long may you reign in grace, in courage, and impact”.
