The controversy surrounding TikToker Peller’s wedding has taken another dramatic turn, with Hellen Ati, who has publicly identified herself as the mother of celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest’s child, weighing in on the dispute over the alleged spraying of fake US dollars at the lavish wedding reception.
Peller had recently alleged that some guests sprayed him with counterfeit dollar notes during his wedding celebration, saying he initially believed the money was genuine.
But in a social media video, Ati turned the spotlight on Cubana Chief Priest, suggesting that he could have been connected to the alleged incident.
Ati did not provide evidence linking the businessman to the alleged fake currency. Instead, she questioned his reported promise to gift Peller $7,000, contrasting it with what she described as his failure to provide adequate financial support for their son.
“Maybe it is you who sprayed Peller fake dollars,” she alleged in the video, adding that while he reportedly promised to give Peller $7,000, she claimed he had not provided a similar amount of support for their child.
Her remarks have added a fresh layer to an already highly publicised dispute involving the businessman and Ati, who have been engaged in a widely reported paternity and legal disagreement.
‘TikTok Donations Went Into Legal Fees’
Ati also spoke about the financial difficulties she said she has faced while pursuing her legal battle.
According to her, money she previously raised through TikTok, which she said was intended to establish a business and provide for herself and her child, was instead spent on legal representation in Kenya.
“The money I begged people for on TikTok, people were busy sending me money. I wanted to open a business, take care of your child, and pay my bills, but you sued me. I used all my money to pay a lawyer. The case is still in court, but you ran away,” she said.
She further claimed that she was now struggling financially and accused Cubana Chief Priest of spending generously on other people while, in her view, neglecting the welfare of their child.
Ati said she regretted spending the funds she had raised on the legal battle rather than investing the money in the business she had originally planned to establish.
A Wedding Scandal Meets an Old Feud
The latest exchange has effectively dragged an already contentious personal dispute into the wider conversation surrounding Peller’s wedding, where social media attention has focused on extravagant displays of cash, celebrity appearances and the alleged appearance of counterfeit dollar notes.
