The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed 115 personnel as part of an ongoing internal reform aimed at strengthening discipline and integrity within the agency.
The DSS confirmed the dismissals in a statement on Tuesday, noting that the affected officers were let go over a period following various cases of misconduct.
The agency also reiterated earlier warnings concerning two dismissed officers Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin ,who, according to the DSS, have been engaging in fraudulent activities while posing as serving personnel.
“The Service finds it necessary to warn citizens of the fraudulent activities of some of these persons still posing as DSS personnel,” the statement said. “Members of the public are advised to desist from any dealings with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service.”
To promote transparency, the DSS has published the names of the dismissed officers on its official website, www.dss.gov.ng.
The agency urged members of the public to report any suspicious activities or impersonation attempts to its official contact channels: 09088373515 or dsspr@dss.gov.ng
