15 Years of Excellence: Bright Benny Pupils Impress with Brilliance, Confidence

The 15th graduation ceremony of Bright Benny School has been described as a celebration of academic excellence, character development, and the collective commitment of teachers, management, and parents to providing children with a solid educational foundation.

The ceremony, held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, provided an impressive platform for the school to showcase the quality of pupils it has nurtured, featuring outstanding phonetic presentations, a thought-provoking debate, cultural displays, and other activities that highlighted the event.

One of the major highlights was a phonetic presentation by the pupils, which drew attention to common pronunciation errors often made in everyday communication, including by some educated members of society.

The pupils demonstrated impressive mastery of correct pronunciation and spoken English, turning the presentation into an engaging lesson on the importance of effective communication and the need to build strong language skills from an early age.

The pupils also demonstrated remarkable confidence and intellectual maturity during a debate on whether social media is beneficial to children.

The proposing team argued that, despite the challenges associated with social media, it could provide children with opportunities to stay informed about developments around them, learn new things and access useful information, insisting that the platforms should not be viewed merely as sources of entertainment.

The opposing team, however, highlighted the dangers children could face online, arguing that many children lack the maturity and knowledge required to protect themselves from harmful or inappropriate content available on social media platforms.

The quality of the arguments presented by both sides demonstrated the pupils’ ability to research, reason, articulate their positions and engage constructively with contemporary issues.

Another major attraction was a colourful cultural dance presentation, through which the pupils showcased Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, while the cutting of the anniversary cake added further excitement to the celebration.

Special Guest Applauds School Management

The Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony, Obinna Onyejekwe, commended the management and teachers of Bright Benny School for their commitment to raising hardworking, confident and brilliant children capable of competing favourably with their peers elsewhere.

Onyejekwe said the quality of performances witnessed at the graduation was a clear indication that the school was not merely focused on academic instruction but was deliberately developing children with the confidence, discipline and intellectual capacity required to succeed beyond the school environment.

He particularly praised the commitment of the school’s teachers and management, noting that the pupils’ impressive performances were evidence of dedicated professionals who remained committed to their responsibilities.

According to him, the achievements of the children also reflected the determination of the parents, whom he described as eager and desirous of providing their children with quality and sound education.

He said the combination of committed school management, dedicated teachers and supportive parents was critical to producing children who could hold their own among their contemporaries wherever they found themselves.

Onyejekwe therefore encouraged the school to sustain its standards and continue investing in the intellectual and character development of its pupils.

Proprietress Celebrates 15 Years of Impact

Speaking at the ceremony, the Proprietress of Bright Benny School, Mrs Grace Chituru Ndukwe, JP, SRN, SRM, BSc (Management), Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education, said the occasion was a celebration not only of the graduating pupils but also of everyone who had contributed to the school’s journey over the past 15 years.
