The newly appointed Acting Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, has declared that he remains fully committed to the enormous responsibilities entrusted to him, stating that the weight of the office demands his undivided attention and dedication.
Speaking shortly after his appointment, the Acting IGP acknowledged the magnitude of the task ahead, noting that the position comes with significant obligations not only for him but also for his colleagues in the Nigeria Police Force.
“It is not yet time for me to become affiliated… because a heavy burden has been placed on my shoulders and those of my colleagues,” he stated.
Disu emphasised that his immediate priority is to focus squarely on the mandate before him, reinforcing his resolve to strengthen policing operations, enhance professionalism, and uphold public trust in the force.
