Popular Nollywood actress Damilola Oni has opened up on the overwhelming and often disturbing attention she receives from men, both online and within the industry.
Known for her striking beauty and captivating screen presence, the actress revealed that her social media inbox has become a constant flood of unsolicited advances. According to her, many of the messages go beyond admiration, crossing into deeply inappropriate territory.
She disclosed that some men boldly send explicit content and make extravagant promises, offering to spend heavily just to get her attention. For Oni, what should be harmless admiration has turned into a daily struggle to maintain boundaries.
Even more surprising, she noted that some of her male colleagues in the industry have also expressed personal interest in her, often confessing their feelings in ways that leave her uncomfortable.
Despite being single, the actress said navigating relationships has not been easy, as she constantly deals with persistent advances and pressure from the opposite sex.
In her words:
“My DM is always filled with inappropriate messages from men. Some even go as far as sending explicit content very early in the morning, promising to spend anything just to have my attention.
“I’m still single, but it hasn’t been easy. The attention can be overwhelming. Even some actors openly tell me how they feel whenever they see me, and they keep reaching out.”
Oni’s revelation sheds light on the less glamorous side of fame, where admiration can sometimes turn into harassment, leaving celebrities to deal with pressures many fans never see.
