Rapper Eedris Abdulkareem honors Dokpesi’s memory with a new song

Nigerian rapper and  former member of the defunct music group Remedies, Eedris Abdulkareem, has composed  a new song which he dedicated  to the memory of Late High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman Emeritus, DAAR Communication. High Chief Dokpesi, founder of DAAR Communications Plc. died on May 29, 2023.

The single titled ‘ DOKPESI SUN RE’ (Rest Well), which has hit the airwaves is in appreciation of the enormous contributions of the late founder of the first privately owned media outfit which comprises: Raypower, African Independent Television, AIT, and Faaji Fm, to the entertainment industry in Nigeria and Africa.

Abdul Kareem, in a statement issued by his business associate and singer Myke Pam for Lakreem Entertainment Inc. lauded Dokpesi’s giant strides and contribution to the growth and development of the creative industry.

The rapper known for hit songs like: Nigeria Jaga-jaga, Mr. Lecturer, The Country Hard, and Mr.  Oko Omoge among many other songs, commiserated with the Dokpesi and DAAR family and described the death of the media mogul as very big loss and painful.

The single ‘DOKPESI SUN RE’ was released on Lakreem Entertainment Inc. on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023, and is available on online music stores and streaming services. The song is already receiving heavy airplay on AIT, Raypower FM and Faaji fm. The song eulogized the late Dokpesi’s milestone achievements and his positive impacts on the lives of people, especially entertainers.

Since the death of the media entrepreneur, philanthropist and politician, his homes and branches of DAAR communication offices across the country have become a beehive of activities for people who troop in daily to commiserate with the family and staff of his communication outfit.The late media mogul was buried in his country home at Agenebode, Edo State, on Thursday June 22nd 2023, in a well-attended ceremony.
