The Dean, of Lagos State University School of Tourism, Film, Performing Arts and Culture Studies, Prof. Tunji Azeez has been appointed as a member of the newly constituted Committee for the Review of the National Tourism and Hospitality Policy of Nigeria and the Tourism Development Master Plan.
Prof. Azeez’s appointment by the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, was contained in a letter dated 17th April and signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, James Sule.
The Committee is expected to serve as a crucial bridge between policy objectives and practical implementation, ensuring that policies are well-crafted, legally sound, and aligned with organizational and governmental goals. The Committee was inaugurated on Thursday, 25th April 2024.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has congratulated Prof. Azeez on the appointment. She expressed her confidence that he would tap into his wealth of experience to add positive contributions to the work of the Committee even as his participation in the national assignment would rob off positively on the newly established School of Tourism, Film, Performing Arts, and Culture Studies,
