Chairman, Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Chief Tony Okoroji, has expressed his condolences to the family, friends, and numerous fans of the great highlife maestro, Gentleman Mike Ejeagha, who is reported to have died on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 95.
In the words of Chief Okoroji: “growing up and going to school in Uwani Enugu, the enchanting music of Mike Ejeagha was an indelible soundtrack of my youth. The depth and meaning of his poetic words shaped my values. It is instructive that his music remained relevant at the dusk of his life.”
Chief Okoroji has called on the institutions of state and the creative industry to ensure that the great Mike Ejeagha is given a befitting burial and immortalized in a way that makes an important statement that will inspire the new generation of Nigerians in the creative field.
