The newly renovated Kofar Na’isa Primary School in Gwale Local Government Area, Kano State, was officially commissioned under the Chief of the Naval Staff Special Intervention Quick Impact Project (CNS-QIP). This initiative, championed by the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, aims to enhance the Nigerian Navy’s Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) efforts across the country.
Rear Admiral B. Mohammed facilitated the project in Kano as a gesture of goodwill and a means of giving back to his community, aiming to improve educational infrastructure and uplift the residents.
Representing the CNS at the commissioning ceremony was Rear Admiral EC Anakwe. In his remarks, he underscored the importance of CIMIC as a strategic pillar of the Navy’s operations. He reiterated that CIMIC fosters meaningful engagement between the military and civilian populations, ultimately contributing to national security and development. He also noted that the CNS-QIP was launched in alignment with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and reflects the Nigerian Navy’s ongoing commitment to national development beyond its core mandate of safeguarding the maritime domain.
Rear Admiral Mohammed, speaking at the event, expressed deep appreciation to the CNS for the opportunity to deliver such a transformative project in his hometown. He hailed the initiative as a testament to the CNS’s visionary leadership and dedication to improving the welfare of Nigerian communities. He further emphasised that the renovated school would greatly enhance the quality of education and learning conditions for pupils in the area.
