The leadership of the Ndigbo community in the All Progressives Congress (APC) has paid a courtesy and congratulatory visit to the Executive Chairman of Coker-Aguda LCDA, Hon. Ogidan Azeez Owolabi, at the council secretariat.
The delegation commended the chairman for what they described as visible and impactful developmental projects under his administration, which have continued to attract positive recognition across various media platforms.
Speaking during the visit, the Eze Ozioma of Surulere LGA, Dr. Eze Ozioma Egwuatu, applauded Hon. Ogidan’s strides in governance, noting that the Igbo community remains an active partner in the growth of Coker-Aguda. He also highlighted the symbolic importance of the Nwanne Di Na Mba chieftaincy title conferred on the chairman, urging greater inclusion of Ndigbo in the delivery of democratic dividends.
Similarly, Hon Chief Mrs. Ngozi Chinwuko, APC representative for Coker-Aguda LCDA in Lagos State, praised the chairman’s leadership qualities, describing him as a visionary and inclusive leader. She commended him for accommodating the group despite the short notice, while joining in the call for enhanced participation of the Igbo community in local governance.
In his response, Hon. Ogidan expressed appreciation for the longstanding contributions of the Igbo community to the socio-economic development of Coker-Aguda. He assured them of his administration’s continued commitment to inclusiveness and collaboration.
“The Igbo community has always been a partner in the progress of Coker-Aguda. Your contributions to business, culture, and politics cannot be overlooked. My administration remains committed to inclusiveness,” he said.
The chairman further promised to honor his earlier pledge to personally visit the Eze’s palace, noting that his busy schedule had been the only constraint.
“If there is something you need from me, do not hesitate to reach out. I will personally visit your palace soon, as promised,” Hon. Ogidan assured.
The meeting ended on a note of renewed partnership between the Coker-Aguda LCDA and the Igbo community within the APC.
