– Arrest Suspects and Recover Arm and Ammunition
Lagos State Police Command has revealed that following a series of public complaints by residents of Ajegunle in Ajeromi federal constituency of Lagos state over incidents of robbery has prompted his men to action that is already yielding results.
In a release by the Police Public Relations officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said ;
The Lagos State Police Command, following a series of public complaints about armed robbery incidents along Layeni Ojo Road, Ajegunle, arrested two suspects in the early hours of April 28, 2025, at about 0630 hrs. “
The suspects, who were arrested by operatives of Layeni Division, are Azeez Anofi ‘m’, aged 25, a.k.a. Stainless, and Damilare Obadia ‘m’, aged 25, who had attempted to snatch a tricycle, popularly known as Keke Marwa.
Following the arrest, one locally made pistol and one expended cartridge were recovered from the suspects. Further investigation has commenced to arrest other suspects and recover other operational weapons.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, while commending the officers’ swift response, urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police for appropriate action.
