Lawn tennis legend Serena Williams said she is training her 7-year-old daughter, Olympia, to know the value of money by working hard for it. According to Williams, her daughter earns her money, that’s $7 per week, by doing chores around the house. The tennis star added that she has refused to just hand over money to her daughter.
Serena, whose net worth is $400 Million, said, it’s important to know from this age how to save and respect money, and also understand the value of hard work from a young age.
She explained further that though her daughter is growing up in luxury, she must know that nothing comes for free.
According to Serena, many people struggle financially because they were never taught discipline with money. Those early lessons are exactly what helped her build the empire she has today.
