The Hon Kolawole Taiwo group (HKT) in Ifelodun has expressed unreserved disapproval of the “expensive slip of tongue” committed by the compere, Alhaji Taofeek Olaoye aka TZ, at the recent APC rally in the area.
The Hon Kolawole Taiwo group (HKT) made this disapproval after the rally at Ward F in the area where he introduced the former Deputy Speaker at Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Kolawole Taiwo, as the former Deputy leader at the Local Government.
The group said it is not the first time the compere would be running down the personality of the former Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly anytime he speaks at a political gathering.
A member of the group said, It is the third time that the same Compere would be making such expensive mistakes.
Another supporter of the group said that, despite TZ admitting that it was an unintended error, it would be foolhardy to believe that the three times TZ made the mistakes in different fora was not deliberate. He noted that as an assistant secretary of APC in the local government and a professional media personality, who is literate enough to know the difference between a deputy Leader at the local government and a deputy speaker at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The group, however, warned that the HKT group will no longer tolerate such an expensive and inappropriate slip in addressing their principal henceforth.
At one of APC’s campaigns for the July 2025 local government election held at Imam junction in Ward F for Wards E and F, the well-organized campaign rally did not end without the drama that foretold what awaits the people in the 2027 election.
The compere, TZ, an experienced media personality, was adjudged to have handled the event properly until the arrival of his Principal, Hon Kalejaiye Adeboye Paul and his tone, however, changed after the arrival of the House of Representatives member representing Ajeromi Ifelodun Constituency, as he began to sing his praises to the disgust of many APC supporters at the venue.
An APC party member said TZ’s lavish talk on KAP was a calculated jab at HKT at his ward, yet most of the KAP’s projects the compere reeled out are projects that a Councilor could tout out, imagine an MHR talking about bringing one Transformer to his Constituency or Solar Panel lights.
According to another supporter of the HKT group, the compere is an aide of Hon Kalejaiye Adeboye Paul was invited to Hon Taiwo’s ward to run him down before his people. He noted that the Compere chose the moment of Hon Kalejaiye’s arrival to describe Hon Kolawole Taiwo, the former deputy speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, as the former deputy leader at the local government, though he was immediately corrected by Hon Saad Olumoh, a member of the State House of Assembly..
Hon Taiwo’s supporters said, the group will not take the continuous embarrassment of their principal lying low, as they believe that the seeming continuous error by TZ is deliberate since he is educated to know the difference between the two offices.

Lagos Focus News gathered that TZ, however, apologized to the group when they confronted him on the matter after the rally.
