HKT family organizes marathon prayer session for Hon Kolawole Taiwo

The political relevance of Hon Kolawole Taiwo, a former House of Representatives member, was re-enacted recently when all members of his group “HKT, Family and Friends” from the seven wards of Ifelodun LCDA, came together in their various wards to pray for him on his birthday.

The former federal lawmaker who represented Ajeromi /Ifelodun Federal constituency, from 2019 – 2023 at the green chambers of the National Assembly is an astute politician who has paid have served his people in various capacities.

HKT as he is popularly called by his people, represented Ajeromi-Ifelodun Constituency 1, at the Lagos State House of Assembly for four consecutive times which he was crowned with the position of  Deputy Speaker before he was elected to represent the good people of  Ajeromi Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives. Although the former lawmaker has decided not to hold any political office for now, the gathering of his political group still shows his political relevance and how much his people value him.

Speaking on the essence of the prayer session, Mojeed Ayoade, HKT group chairman, Ward F, said,  the prayer session was just a humble gathering to pray for their leader who has always been there for them.

“We prayed for long life, sound health, and divine protection for him and divine wisdom for him, now that he is not occupying any political position again”.

Hon Elijah Oluwatosin Ilesanmi, the Councilor representing Ward F, Hon Taiwo’s ward said, the best gift for their leader is prayer because all the 24 years of his public life, Hon Kolawole Taiwo has invested in people.

Ilesanmi said Hon Kolawole Taiwo is indeed a mentor and a good politician to emulate because he bears no grudges against anybody and will not hesitate to help people when needed unless he doesn’t have.

Hon Ilesanmi prayed to God to open bigger doors for Hon Kolawole Taiwo.

At Adeponle axis of Ward E, a former Special Adviser and  Giwa Olori Adinni of Amukoko Central Mosque, Hon Abdul Fatai Ibn-Hamzat, whose group organized a sit-out gathering for the celebrant, said Hon Taiwo deserves more celebration because he has people around him.

 He thanked God for the life of Hon Kolawole Taiwo, who throughout his public life never put his followers to shame by abusing his office, unlike many politicians who will be going in and out of the anti-graft office or facing one panel of inquiry or the other.
