Top-notched credible Ajegunle Business School, ABS, have received thumps up from Hon Kolawole Taiwo, the former Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly.
He praised the school on the 7th edition of ABS 2025 Ajegunle Economic Summit; Business Fair & Exhibition.
Hon Taiwo has this to say, “I like the ABS because they are doing great in this clime, which is like me, popularly called Mr Ajegunle at the House”
Hon Taiwo used the opportunity to encourage participants to keep hope alive because “this is the first time Nigeria has a hardworking President that meant well for our country.
“Nigeria before now is a country that relied wholly on imports but presently, we have seen a President that is bent on changing the trend to make Nigeria export based.”
According to the former House of Representatives member, President Tinubu has good intentions for Nigeria because far back in 1975, Nigerians were exposed to importation. For every import into the country without any corresponding export, it has a toll on the economy and it kills the economy.
He noted further that subsequent governments had shied away from solving the imports, exports deficit or finding solutions to the tolls on deficit exports and it’s tolls on our economy. However President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has the will power to change the narrative, to making Nigeria a productive economy and everyone must give him the necessary support.
Keynote speaker, Stanley Oghene Abraham a real estate entrepreneur, encouraged the youths and other guests with his personal experience, giving them tips on business that will help them succeed.
He said, if he had looked at the circumstances surrounding him while growing up, he wouldn’t have been a successful businessman. His father, he revealed, died few days to his admission into the University and it was only his mother, a vegetable vendor at Alaba- Suru market that took care of him and his other five siblings.
He was able to train himself in the University where he got a degree in accounting. Today, all the six of them are graduates and are doing well in their various businesses.
He therefore tasked the youths not to allow any circumstance deter them from achieving their life ambitions. They must do whatever legitimate things they find with all their might, as if their entire lives depend on it.
Encouraging them to leverage on Information Technology, he emphasized that Ajegunle is not a disadvantaged place because Ajegunle has produced great minds.
Some of the highpoints include Award Presentations to organisations and Business owners that have impacted lives of people in the Community and presentation of a 22 year – old civil engineer graduate and Managing Director of Switch Enterprise Afolabi Moses Oluwatomisin, who confessed he was lured into fraud business by his peers but later quit to tell his success story. Adding that he was lucky to be delivered from the illegal act and swore never to go back into it.
So, to save other youths, Afolabi has rolled out several programs using his platform to prove to these youths that there are several other genuine methods to make it in life aside fraud.
”A friend lured me into fraud businesses and he bought me expensive phone to work for him. Since I came out of it, I feel fulfilled and I have been going round different locations training youths on different IT skills like: graphics designs and networking. They have an event tagged, Festac Biggest Graphic Design Challenge , all meant to engage the youths and keep them focused and out of fraud”, he narrated..
Kafayat Lawal Balogun, a creative Director is another encouraging special guest whose Organisation, SeamsbyDunie was honoured at the event for their numerous contributions to Ajegunle Community. She is passionate about Ajegunle girl child and her Fashion Academy has always urged them to understand and believe in themselves and by the time they push to do more with their vocations, their lives will be better.
She however dedicated her award to them having empowered most of them, Balogun also advise them to always take the bull by the horn because no one wants to be a liability now.
She encouraged them to endeavour to discover and go after their passion, though it may not be easy at first, but with time, things will fall in place, she said.
Sunshine Foundation represented by the Head of the Directorate of the Sunshine Kindheart foundation Comrade Aliyu Dauda, expressed joy at the award that was given to them because it is an encouragement to do more for the people. Sunshine foundation has done more for the Ajegunle youths, an act they want to use to reduce criminality and unemployment, Dauda said.
Sunshine foundation runs a vocational and skill acquisition centre. The foundation just took a popular Ajegunle footballer to LUTH for treatment of Kileiods Cancer, the director revealed.
The CEO and Founder of Ajegunle Business School, Alfred Joshua Konaughe said, the 7th edition of the Ajegunle Economic Summit, Business Fair & Exhibition, themed; ‘Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid’ makes him happy because the Ajegunle Business School has successfully empowered and mentored about 323 Ajegunle youths, who have equally created businesses that employ several others.
A lot of businesses at this time got support and investors interested in their businesses and they also partner with Bank of Industry to give interest free loans.
He used the opportunity to honor organizations and persons that have helped others in the community like Sunshine Kindheart Foundation, Tee Signature, Isabeauty and Oracle Academy.

In his speech, the Ajeromi LGA Chairman Olamilekan Olu Akindipe.aka Lampholder speaking through his Chief of Staff, tasked the people to challenge the fundamental assumption that people at the bottom of the pyramid are charity prone class. He said this category however constitutes the world largest untapped economy. Hon Akindipe however promised that his government will partner ABS to tap into the untapped economy at the bottom.
