The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area, Hon. Patric C. Madu, has called on residents to actively participate in efforts to bring about meaningful change in the community by ensuring they acquire their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Hon. Madu, who made this appeal in a chat with Lagos Focus News, emphasized that the affirmation of groups within the party has been concluded, but that, the ADC remains open to welcoming new members.
“ADC is a united family that does not entertain gangsters or people who run others down,” he said. “We encourage everyone to locate their wards and identify with fellow party members at the grassroots level.”
The chairman disclosed that the party is awaiting a forthcoming harmonization process that will be directed from the state level, aimed at uniting various political interests, including members from the APC,PDP, Labour Party, and the Rainbow Alliance, that has joined the party.
He warned that any form of parallel meetings of the party within the local government would be treated as anti-party activity, stressing that such gatherings would not be tolerated especially for individuals who are yet to officially join the ADC.
“Anybody who cannot locate his or her ward should reach out to the LGA Chairman for proper guidance,” Hon. Madu advised.
Addressing rumours of internal crisis within the party, the ADC chairman dismissed the claims as unfounded.
“We use this medium to disregard unconfirmed sidetalks about insinuated problems in Ajeromi Local Government. We are a peaceful party focused on transformation and the good of the people of Ajeromi in particular, and Nigeria in general,” he said.
Hon. Madu reaffirmed the ADC’s commitment to inclusive politics, transparency, and grassroots mobilization aimed at improving governance and development across Ajeromi-Ifelodun.
