It was a memorable and productive occasion at the Imo State Library, Owerri, where the Acting Director and State Librarian, Lolo Patience Onumara, hosted Kuriouk K(Kingsley Agubom) in a courtesy visit involving key stakeholders in the state’s water and sanitation sector. The visit was attended by the Managing Director of the Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation (ISWSC, formerly the Water Board), Engr. Udegbe Chizoba J., and the General Manager of the Imo State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), Dr. John-Kennedy Agubom.
The meeting provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on advancing education in Imo State and exploring areas of collaboration among Imo State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation( RUWASSA), Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation (ISWSC), and Kurious K Agubom Publishers for commendable transformation. The proposed synergy is aimed at driving meaningful societal transformation by leveraging education as a strategic tool for promoting sustainable development, particularly in the areas of water, hygiene, and sanitation.
Participants at the meeting reaffirmed that education remains the bedrock of societal growth and civilization, stressing the need to harness its power to stimulate reform, raise awareness, and foster lasting positive change across communities in Imo State.
