In what looks like a warning sign and gang up to oust the Ajeromi Apex Political leader and head of Justice Forum, Prince Rabiu Adio Oluwa, the Mandate group consisting of Ajeromi Political heavyweights gather in a well-attended meeting at LA primary school Babani.
The former Deputy Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly Hon Kolawole Taiwo vowed that the Mandate group where he and other political big heads from Ajeromi/ Ifelodun two constituencies belong will wrestle power from Justice Forum.
He made this revelation at the meeting of the Mandate Movement held at Babani, which had many other Ajeromi /Ifelodun political heavyweights in attendance.
According to the former House of Representatives member, the mammoth crowd at the meeting of the Mandate Group was just the tip of the iceberg of what their political opponents in the party will expect; as the primary for the 2025 local government election draws close. He said he did not make noise about the meeting, yet the place was filled to the brim, but assured that the next meeting would draw more people than this.
The former lawmaker narrated the role he has played in the party since its inception and emphasized that the party is not just for one person, neither can one individual intimidate everyone in the party.
His words, “This is just the beginning, the next meeting, people will be shocked by the outcome. I decided not to make noise about this meeting that’s why the crowd is not much but the next one will be different.
“APC voters will gain and on the mandate we stand. All your votes will count, one person cannot make us scare, threaten, or intimidate us and they know that’s how it’s.
“We started this party from the beginning, whatever it takes for our votes to count, we will do it. I will not join any other government apart from this present government because we started this party together, we started Ajeromi -Ifelodun together.
“Why I say this is because they say they want to intimidate me but nobody can intimidate me.
“There’s nothing wrong in having a crisis but it should make us stronger. Let’s not be divided. The head of this group is fully in charge. When the time comes, let’s vote for the Mandate candidate because, in this community, we are the ones who have the vote. If it’s by force, we will vote”, Hon Taiwo assured.
He said the rumor that the people will not benefit from the Mandate Movement is false. He promised to ensure that the supporters would benefit. The lawmaker surprised the followers when he told them he had made five bags of rice available for the group’s members in all the Wards.
HKT as he is popularly known noted that people have been saying they will deal with him because he is standing on the Mandate, he however warned that nobody can do anything to him since he has a father in President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
“I am the president’s son and I am standing on the mandate and they cannot do me anything. People should vote for APC because their welfare is our priority”, HKT promised.
In his speech, Hon Abdulbaqi Olademeji Balogun, the Mandate Coordinator of Ajeromi Local Government, reassured members of the group that they will not lose in the struggle; however, they must work hard to ensure success for the Party and its symbol come 2027.
He also revealed that former Ajeromi Local government Chairman and Head of Lagos State Civil Service Commission, Hon Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, and immediate past Ajeromi Constituency 02 representative at Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Oluwa though absent at the meeting are Mandate Group members.

assured the members that the party will continue to protect their interests just like he has been doing in the House.
In attendance at the special meeting were: former Constituency 02 representatives at Lagos State House of Assembly Hon Sina Ogunkoya, Hon Fatai Ajidagba, and Hon Saad Olumoh, the House of Assembly member.
Other party bigwigs in attendance were incumbent Ifelodun LCDA Chairman, Olufemi Akambi Okeowo, Hon Fatai Ajidagba, and Chairmanship aspirant Hon Ojabe, among many other party heavyweights.
