Every 27th of November will always remain remarkable in the life of Ajeromi frontline politician and Chairmanship aspirant, philanthropist, and businessman, Hon Alhaji Olawale Haruna Ariyo, popularly called Megida.
On the 27th of November 2024, being his 46th birthday, the philanthropist and man of the people; in his usual manner as he has done every year, commissioned some projects as part of his birthday activities.
He commissioned the Primary healthcare center which he renovated and at the same time donated free delivery and nursing gift packs and Cash of Five thousand Naira to two hundred expectant and nursing mothers despite initially planning for a hundred of them.
Ariyo also presented the police with a One Million Naira Cheque to renovate the part of the Station that was touched during the ill-fated endearments.
Ariyo’s kind gesture was commended by Hon Lucky Udhikhue, who represented Fatai Ayoola, the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi LGA at the event.
He said, “What we are seeing Ariyo do today that he is marking his birthday is not new to us, it’s already what we’re used to, not because he is coming out as an aspirant for the chairmanship, but what he has been doing”.
We have worked together in the local government and have seen what you can do. It shows that you are truly a Nigerian. We will continue to thank you and pray that God grants you, your heart desires”.
The Chairman APC, Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA, Chief Samuel Adeyemi thanked Megida for his kind gesture as he commended Ariyo’s actions as having elevated the party to another level.
Another chieftain of the party described Ariyo as a kind-hearted man who cares for women, especially the aged and children.
Ariyo also known as the Aturase of Ayetoro kingdom used the occasion of his birthday to visit the Local Authority Primary School at Agoahusa whose ICT center was bugled during the endsars , he promised to restore the carted computers and also promised to renovate one of the dilapidated buildings and make a functional arts and craft center which he will hand over to the Ministry on the 14th of February 2025. He had earlier given out school uniforms to the pupils of the school on February 14, 2024.
He was also presented with some awards from admirers for his philanthropic contributions.
He also paid a surprise visit to the Mother and Child Clinic in Ajegunle, where he gave a cash gift to the first baby born on 27th November 2024.
Alhaji Ariyo while announcing his plans to context for the chairmanship seat of Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA come 2025, commended the incumbent chairman Fatai Ayoola, for his giant strides and remarkable achievements and promised to continue in his footsteps by embarking on people-oriented projects if elected into office.
